The logo of IndependenceFirstIndependenceFirst is a non-profit, non-residential Center for Independent Living directed by, and for the benefit of, persons with disabilities primarily in the four county area of metropolitan Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our mission is to effectively facilitate the empowerment of individuals with disabilities through Education, Advocacy, Independent Living Services and Coalition-Building.

IndependenceFirst is committed to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of the community. We provide services to persons with disabilities of all kinds and across all age groups. The four core services offered are: independent living skills training, peer support, advocacy, and information and referral services.
